CHRISTMAS GIFTS!

Here are a few of my favourite Christmas presents I was luckily enough to receive this year!!

My favourite perfume is the new YSL Black Opium, its a new fragrance on the market and very popular! Its a more current, fresher version of the original Opium which can be quite heavy!

I got a POLAR watch which is going to help me to get fit in the New Year! You wear it with a chest strap and it records your statistics such as calories burnt, average heart rate and times! Its comfortable to wear which is important for me, it doesn't feel like you have it on!

I also got this beautiful mug too from a shop in the Bluewater shopping centre. I love it as it reminds me a little of the mug character from Beauty and the Beast haha!

What did you all get for Christmas? I hope Father Christmas bought you lots!

CHRISTMAS BRAIDS

This Christmas has been so hectic I have constantly had my hair in braids!! Whether it be French plaits, reverse French of the simple side braid!

I find it so much easier and less hassle! My hair is scraped off my face but still looks stylish and sleek!

Luckily I have a very talented sister-in-law who doesn't mind doing them for me!

What's your Christmas hair been like? Any hints or tips for different styles?

CHRISTMAS OUTFITS!

Well what a busy Christmas this has been!!
Lots of blog updates are required once the madness has calmed down!
Having a baby coupled with a massive family has made for a fantastic Christmas!

How has yours been??

Here is Leo's OOTD captured during Christmas period! These few are my favourite and I believe are the best quality!

On the run up to Christmas I dressed Leo in lots of cute Christmas wear such as this Elf outfit for when we were wrapping our Christmas presents!

We chose this outfit for when we were delivering the presents!!

Leo's Christmas Day outfit was Rocha John Rocha from Debenhams. Priced at £36 it came complete with a cardigan, bow tie, shirt and tartan trousers! This was my favourite but the bow tie didn't last long!!

Finally we headed to the Next Boxing Day Sale and stocked up for the next few months! I ended up leaving with two massive bags full of clothes with no such a big receipt!
I find the quality of Next clothes second to none for children and would recommend them to everyone!

New Pram!

Hey Mummy and daddies :-)

Sorry it's been a while...

Christmas is scarily approaching and with little Leo its very very hectic, from Christmas shopping to visiting family time has just flown by!

Recent purchases have included a new pram! After countless trips and searches deciding which would be the better pram we decided on the 'Mothercare Orb pram'.

Once arrived, I tasked Leo's daddy to build it!

The pram itself was easy to assemble and comes with amazing features such as the chassis spins to change direction of baby without having to remove him, this is done by spinning the handle around once in the upright position.

I love the lightweight design of the pram, even when it is in the collapsed position is so easy to move and carry around which was an important factor when deciding which pram we wanted!

An attraction to us was that the pram doesn't need a separate bit for the carry-cot, the main seat has clips underneath which release it into a carry-cot, saving so much space and time!!

There is also an extra long hood which shelters baby more, which is perfect when they are sleeping or if the weather turns! The only small negative is that the wheels take some time to getting used to! Once you have mastered that it really is a lovely pram!

I personally prefer the grey colour but it also comes in black ;)

As I mentioned, its been a busy few weeks so more posts will be added in the next few days!

Speak soon ;)

Dubai, November 2015

Hey Mummies and Daddies,

As promised (sorry its late!) is mine and Leo's trip to Dubai summed up in a few words and lots of pictures haha.
Even though I travelled with my parents abroad, I had the main responsibility of looking after Leo :)

This was a lot harder than you can imagine, there is so much to take for the little one such as things like remembering to pack his steriliser, milk, nappies, wipes and lots of toys to keep him entertained!
Luckily Emirates airline gave us 30kg allowance (we also checked in the pram and car seat for no extra cost!) Leo also had 10kg which helped a lot!
Flying with Emirates gave us the luxury of having a bassinet (baby cot) on-board the flight, this has to be pre-ordered over the phone but it was an absolute lifesaver for me and for Leo. He was so comfy and able to stretch out for the 8 hour flight!

The airline also provided milk on-board (mainly cow and gate) blankets and toys for the kids and a baby pack for Leo which contained wipes, bib, nappy and baby lotion!! As you can imagine this was all lovely to receive and made the experience very enjoyable. We also had our picture taken by the cabin crew on a polaroid camera which they carry to capture children's special moments during the flight, I found this such a lovely touch and Leo was posing as usual!

Also in Dubai airport after you land they provide pushchairs for people with infants and children, this was a great help until we got our own pram off the baggage carousel.

Whilst in Dubai we stayed at the Marina Byblos Hotel on the Marina, close to Jumeriah Beach Walk. The people there were very family friendly and made us feel very welcome! Little things such as the maid giving me extra water for Leo each day made life a lot easier! They also provided a baby travel cot for Leo to sleep in.
Although the heat was close to 30 degrees, Leo dealt with it very well and we utilised the travel Moses basket that Leo's Nana bought him to give him shade from the sun. Around 2/3pm we usually headed in for him to cool down and have a nap :)

Overall the holiday was fab! The airline made life easier and so did the people of Dubai!
Its always handy to call the airline you travel with and ask what they can do for you and your infant, you may be surprised like I was!

I hope this has been helpful and see how children friendly some airlines can be! I certainly will be using Emirates again :)

Trip down South

Hey fellow Mummies & Daddies!

Just spent a lovely 3 days in Hertford after our jollies in Dubai to see the in-laws!
It's a long journey for a baby so having to stop on the way and keeping baby entertained can be tricky!

I like to use little toys in Leo's car seat to keep him entertained! He loves his Zebra toys from the Tesco collection. One goes on his wrist and the other is a hand puppet, they are brightly coloured which Leo loves and can easily spend hours examining and playing with them, perfect for a car journey!
